Be honest! How many times have you seen Star Wars? 5 times? 10 times?A lot of times, right! At Northcoders, we like to think you can never have too much of a good thing, and our hiring partners think the exact same way. They'll hire a Northcoder and be so impressed they think, "Why not have another?"

At Northcoders we teach our students a lot of things, but we believe one of the key aspects to being a brilliant developer is learning how to approach problem solving in a unique and creative way. We are driven by nurturing confidence in our future developers. Our hiring partners have realised time and time again that they could add a Northcoder to their team and trust they that wouldn’t need to hold their hand.

There are skills in the North that businesses are crying out for, and we are constantly working towards answering those cries. For example, when our hiring partners expressed a need for Java, we created the Java conversion course. there is still a lot of work to be done, but we make sure to alter our curriculum with every cohort to fit the ever changing needs of the tech community we believe in creating a symbiotic relationship between you and the Northcoders you hire, They'll come in with the raw skills you need, and you'll give them the chance to carry on learning the craft they love and build their careers.

Companies like Thoughtworks, 1st Stop Group, Peak.Bi and Access Pay have all taken on multiple Northcoders. David Pickering the Head of Engineering over at Peak.Bi has said “Since discovering Northcoders, recruiting and growing our team has been a breath of fresh air.” There are currently five Northcoders graduates working at Peak.Bi, David continues to say “With Northcoders, you get enthusiastic individuals who have relevant and up-to-date, hands-on skills making it a breeze to slot them into a team.” One of our hiring partners has said they interviewed 20 Computer Science graduates, but ended up hiring none. Of the 8 Northcoders we put forward, they hired 5. We like to think those numbers speak for themselves when it comes to the quality of our training.

We think that this sense of community and friendship is what drives our students to be the best developers they can be and build long-lasting careers. With us, with you and most importantly with the North.

Because at the end of the day we are all in this together.
